Redrawn Icons

I redid some of my icons since last critique on color. So my ring is in a ring box and my characters have more grown up shoes.

Yup. My 2 colors is now just simple where the "details" is highlighted. My 3 color is having a peach/coral (which i changed from the dark pink) as a background offset without variation. Much better yea? I'm sure there could be more improvements but I say these are much better than the old set I had.

Book Covers Round 2

My book covers attempt according to my revise concepts.

They are working ok? I like them MUCH more than my old ones, which I knew were bad. I tried staying consistent with the type so hopefully it's not too much. I'm sure there's going to be adjustments made but yea, I'm quite proud of this as they are.

Magazine Layouts Round 2, 3, and 4

VERY VERY behind on updating type. So here's a mass post. This was due last Monday:

Yup. It's going well I guess. I was in the right direction with a few tweaks, not many. I like how it's turning out so far but I'll need to readjust it according to my info graphs as well. The Konica doesn't like to print the colors that I want. So you can see in the last picture, I printed the pink one for class but on my computer screen, its actually a cream color. Therefore, the cream color reprint you see is actually greenish yellow on my screen. Very weird and hard to control what they look like so I printed out different swatches hoping I hit the right one somewhere in there. Yeah, we'll see how this finalizes.

Yah. What a week. But I need to improve my typography and tweaks some things around before it is good enough. Central park is being thrown to the back burner so that one is on hold unless I need it. We shall see. I improved my icons but I will post them again once its all done.

Book Covers Round 1

These were due last Wednesday for progress crit.

These are so bad. So so so bad. So I rethought my ideas and ways to approach it. Over the weekend, I got some new photos and I'm going with my "pair of..." idea now instead of location based. For the park, it's kind of the same idea but I'm going to have 2 cars, a park scene, with the city in the background. The relationship book is going to have 2 drinking glasses ('cause everyone needs a drink one time or another right?). The ring book is going to have some flowers and maybe some rings on there as well, this is my hardest book so far but I have faith in it. Last but not least the proposal book is going to have tons of things. I have a lot of ideas for that one but have yet to really nail one yet but it will work out. Yup. I have all my images, I just need to scan them in and put them together in class tomorrow.
